Lombardy Lane

I've always liked this spot...The sign says this is a Metchosin Heritage Site, and that this avenue of Lombardy Poplars were planted by Mr. Henry C. Helgesen around 1903 on the approach to his farm "Sherwood"....hardly worth noting in European terms, but 1903 is pretty ancient around here!
