Cox Arboretum
Tuesday
We spent a gorgeous afternoon exploring Cox Arboretum, near Miamisburg, about a 40 minute drive north of us, on the way to Dayton. I remembered hearing about it before, but I didn’t remember if we had been before. Having seen it today, we decided we hadn’t, yet we must have driven close by it many times, as it is quite close to the interstate. It was a beautiful day, very warm and sunny, and it was just lovely strolling around, taking it all in. There was the more formal area, with the usual cultivated Spring blooms, but there was also a trail through a woooded area, where there were also many wildflowers. The turtles were enjoying the sunshine too, but as you can see, they weren’t doing a very good job of social distancing! Another shot shows the observation tower you can climb for a view over the park. Unfortunately, Roger was having a bad day with his allergies. It’s strange, as last year, both of us remember his allergies hardly bothering him at all. He’s just hoping when we go down to Savannah and Florida on Thursday, he gets away from the problem - the Cincinnati area is known to be bad for allergies and sinus!
