The sky snow is falling! The sky snow is falling!

What's that, Chicken Little?

Remember the 8 to 12 inches of snow they forecast yesterday for us today with Winter Storm Saturn? This morning they had revised the total to 10-14 inches. Yikes! High winds too, and power outages, lots and lots of people would be without power. Schools were shut. Federal government was shut. Local government was shut. Hell, they even closed the library.

So we had a dusting of snow overnight and sat and waited and waited and waited. Oh that's only Part 1 of the storm they said. Part 2 is coming this afternoon and it will be much, much worse, with snow falling at a rate of 1-2 inches an hour.

It's now 5pm. The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled, so has the Winter Weather Advisory. It's calm and slightly drizzly outside, and with a stretch of the imagination we got about 3 inches.

I did however get a day off work :)
