Drainage in the Lower Field

A very welcome sight, and heavy plant, which always makes Mr B happy. Naturally it brought us to this.

A quick trip to the optician today determined that I don’t have a contact lens stuck in my red raw eye. Either it was never in there all day yesterday (which would be a relief, as everything was a bit blurry), or I missed its exit.  I must have  scratched my eyeball trying to rive it out.

I was sad to read that Paul Ritter died this week, he was only 54. He played the fantastic Martin ‘Shit on It!’ in Friday Night Dinner. His phrase will live on in this house.
