Well, I feel as though I've had a real adventure today. This afternoon I travelled a little bit further than I've been during lockdown, to another local nature reserve, Mere Sands Wood. It felt so good to break away from the recent boundary and be able to meet up with someone I haven't seen since August - JulesB. We walked 1.5 times round the reserve but with all the hides closed it was hard to see any activity on the water. There is just one open platform, where I managed to capture one duck in flight (extra). This cheeky chap won the day though. I think it is a male siskin, but I'm happy if people want to correct me. I had to look it up.
