Barry, the Black-headed
It's been a couple of years since I've had the chance to shoot the local herd of black-headed parakeets. You can always hear them coming, but they are not good posers.
Today, they were VERY interested in munching off of the bottle-brush tree.
Years ago on Blip, I posted my first picture of them as being some sort of parrot, but I was quickly corrected by a very knowledgeable birding blipper. Now, I know.
They do have fantastic colors, and it is always a thrill to see them.
