Back to the forest

Another bright but cold day, even colder when exposed to the wind. We decided to go over to Brandon Country Park, to walk in the forest to the south of the Park - it's normally a weekly trip for a walk or run there, but we haven't been since the beginning of January, thinking it was a tad too far to go for our daily exercise. The car parks were busy but we managed to avoid almost all the people, dogs & bikes by taking random tracks in the forest rather than the waymarked routes.

I'd seen others post larch "flowers" on here - I've never really noticed them, but was on the lookout for them today. By chance, one of our random tracks took us by a lovely stand of larch, & there they were!
