A mixed day

The frost has turned all the magnolia blossoms brown. They look like dead leaves on all the trees. Such a change from yesterday.

There is a biting wind.

But some other spring blossoms have escaped unscathed, and on today's walk I saw a family of water rats: mother, father, and baby. I couldn't get close enough for a good picture, so it's an extra.
