When we grow tomatoes, we go to the supermarket and choose a tomato of the type that we want to grow. We get lots of weird and wonderful shapes and colours. We simply take a slice of tomato and plant the slice in a pot. A few weeks later they begin to sprout.

So, the next time you see a tomato that you like the look of, plant a slice.
