Katie and her friends had a long chat this morning before we headed to nursery, Katie snuggled on my back, giving me a huge cuddle from the meitai.

During the day I saw references it to being World Book Day tomorrow. I realised that I hadnt heard nursery's plan for it. So when I went to pick her up I asked. Foolishly perhaps. Because the answer was "Ohh yes, the children are coming dressed up as book characters".... A little over 14 hours notice. But once home, a quick look round our belongings and a costume was created, which she is fairly happy about.

Granny and Grandad arrived just as we'd got home. She started bouncing in the meitai, extremely excited. She had a wonderful time playing Grandad in her bedroom, apparently selecting the friends that were going to come downstairs. The criteria appeared to be who was the biggest. But in the end a relatively small selection came to play. She ate a good tea. And crept into the fridge to sit and eat the Worlds Biggest Cucumber. Which she didnt tell me. She just put it back in the fridge, half chewed.
