8 out of 10

Fiona tuesday was FaceTime today after real school.  Here she and Maple are out in the yard in the sun...Maple seems to be ignoring us. :-).  Fi’s report was positive…parent walks up to the fence with you and then you go with a sign, to where your class (of 9) is standing and all walk to the classroom together.  2 1/2 hours, 4 days a week.   Desks 6 ft apart, Fiona said it felt pretty normal.   And because she could do the easy math, and they get 30 min recess playing games (with other kids, just her class of 9!) she thought on the whole it was an 8 out of 10!    She'd never been in this classroom before and she's liked her teacher all year.

A zoom meeting in the mornings.    but next week is “spring break!   I’m sure those teachers can use it.   On the 19th, High School is supposed to start.   Easy going Nik will be happy to see friends.. Tatum thinks its just not worth the disruption.  Oskar I think would rather not be in school at all.    So…as our parents would say …”we’ll see….”

Also Zoom book club today …the book was The Story of More ; How we Got to Climate Change and Where to Go from Here,  by Hope Jahren, a geobiologist with a great talent for writing  ( she wrote Lab girl)  so discussion about what we individuals can do to help the earth.  Never hurts to revisit the stats and possibilities.


Extra…finally finished this puzzle…here the last piece.   Sort of slow but I don’t want them over  too fast.   I'm sure you can figure out why this one was fun... did just get a new one today…
