Deceptive .....

This may look like a beautiful spring day but it was bitterly cold when we out walking this afternoon.  

The snow which fell last night was still there when we woke up but soon melted and whilst there have been other flurries  they haven't amounted to anything (thank goodness).

The snow has been a topic of conversation on the Duolingo Gaelic Group - mainly a discussion on  whether this is simply "Sneach nan Caisg" (Easter Snow)  rather than  also "Sneach beag nan uan" (Lamb Snow), which apparently comes later.   

Other hot topics of discussion include whether sugh for juice includes fizzy drinks (and ginger for us Glaswegians). Wait till we get started on brot (soup). 

It makes a change from the election (and is at least good humoured). 

I actually spent an enjoyable hour or so discussing Gaelic Grammar with a fellow classmate - it reminded me that explaining something to someone else reinforces your own learning. 

The ruin is Caisteal Dubh (Black Castle) which sits just outside Moulin. It was burnt down in 1592 in an attempt curtail the plague which was around  then.
