Fifty-Severn Shades of Something

We made it back to the car just as the sleet began, and by the time we'd got home and had lunch it was coming in horizontally, but we had a grand morning walking along the Severn near Sharpness. I've added extras to lure you in, because frankly they all look great in Large.

The sunshine was delightful and the wooded landscape along the side of the industrial dockland shielded us from most of the wind. I liked the base of the wind turbine in the extra, bright green against the dried grasses, with its spiral staircase. Almost surreal, like a computer game image..

The shot of the docks I've done variations of in the past. The derelicts are still there, quietly rotting, and the gin palace amidst them all with its private helicopter on top! Did I say surreal? But I especially like the landscape view across to the two Severn Bridges on a low filling tide.

Thank you for your comments on yesterday's tribute.
What a place this is. :-)
