Garden: Koi-ncern
Less steady in large
Extra: "Oops!"
Ugh, Koi has hurt her leg! We first noticed it yesterday, and have now examined it carefully and been in touch with the breeder (/call duck expert) who reckons it sounds like the sort of strain that'll sort itself out with rest, so we're holding off on taking her to the vet unless things deteriorate. She seems entirely cheerful otherwise, but won't put weight on her left leg and is spending most of her time resting in the Eglu which is sad (even if sensible).
Im and I offered her some hydrotherapy (i.e. put her in the water trough) and she paddled about (one-legged) and washed, and even used her bad leg a little so that was reassuring. We'll keep a close eye on her (obv.)
My extra shows her falling over after flapping, but although it looks dramatic, it isn't actually all that uncommon for her as she was always the most clumsy, even before getting a sore leg...
After that duckule update, thank you v. much for all of your positive feedback on yesterday's blipday blip. It certainly was cosy in the warm glow of the blipfoto community's attention.
