Great Spotted Woodpecker

Went across to St Ives early doors and had a lovely blue sky walk before the crowds arrived. It was a bit chilly but that was a small price to pay.
Struck lucky in the bird hide this morning for a change. As per usual, the place was full of grey squirrels and the only birds I noticed first of all were a couple of Great Tits and a Robin.
Just as I was about to leave this woodpecker arrived and put on a right how for me and, unusually for me, I had my 300mm lens with me.
I could have murdered a coffee but the Ivy Kitchen was packed out so I had one when I got back home.
