Blue

I was sitting in my room sewing and watching the clouds move across the blue sky and I just wondered whether I had a thread to match the blue of the sky. I didn't need one, it was just an idea. These are the threads I sorted and I think only one got anywhere near the colour of the sky. 

I was thinking about colour on Saturday, as I put pieces into the chromatic jigsaw. Emhowl alerted me then to an edition of Front Row that she had listened to - all about blue. I found it on BBC Sounds (2nd April) and I was fascinated. It is well worth catching - a new blue pigment that has been created, blue in the natural world, singing the Blues - it's all there. Brilliant.
