Herdwick Sheep

An early start this morning to avoid the Bank Holiday crowds in the Lakes.  Having scraped the snow off the car (yes really), we drove up to Rydal for a circuit of the lake.  The Herdwicks seemed very interested in us and were very sociable.  I think they were looking for Easter eggs.  The Rydal tree is in extras.

Beautiful day - blue skies and very cold.  Stopped in Ambleside on the way back for a take away coffee and really surprised how quiet it was everywhere.
