An alien?

No, just Rosina who very kindly woke us at 3 o'clock this morning when she got home from work (waitressing at the Luton Hoo hotel). To be fair:

~ I was already half awake. No one gets through the front door without me hearing them.
~ She had some good news to share which clearly couldn't wait till the morning

She has been offered a place at Victoria University in Melbourne for a year on their international exchange scheme. Assuming she accepts, and I can't see anything stopping her, she will study there between September 2013 and July 2014.

The good - Clearly a great experience for her and for me - an excuse to visit. The wife would never go that far as she hates flying BUT if one of her children is at the end of the journey she WILL do it
The not so good - 3 out of 4 children now living/working abroad and the inevitable cost asociated with both her and our trips to Australia. Not really bothered about these last 2. After all, you can't take it with you but it is going to be soooo quiet when she goes :-)

She has a couple of interviews for work placements in the coming weeks. She doesn't want to go as she sees no point now she has the universtiy offer. I see it differently - she can't really make an informed decision until all possibilites are on the table. Let's see if I win that debate - I don't usually.
