Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Easter Sunday 4th April 2021
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
We were not able to hold our Easter sunrise service at the local farm, so instead I met my bubble friend at another vantage point ready to watch the sunrise. I had nipped down to church first to capture the first view of our open tomb before the dawn and I'm so pleased I did because the light inside stood out more.
At our sunrise location there was a low bank of cloud, so we knew we wouldn't see it at its best. However, as we stood and waited, the mist/fog rolled in towards us so we couldn't see the bank of trees I had just been photographing. If we had stayed much longer we might not have seen each other! We started to walk away but ten minutes later the sun began so peep through the top of the cloud and I managed the shot in the extras.
We then went down to church again, by which time the sun was rising rapidly above our church hall, over the road from the church to the left of this picture. It provided some wonderful light on our tomb and cross.
Our morning service was on Zoom, with 105 people attending. We then held a service in church at 4pm attended by 61 (38 different people from the morning so 143 all together). We ended the service by going outside to sing Thine be the glory, that was very emotional.
I spent the evening at my bubble friend's house and she provided a wonderful lamb roast. A relaxing evening, ending with Line of Duty.
