Wildlife corridor
Izzy has a new job, starting today, which is pretty much in our time zone, meaning that this was our last chance to meet for a coffee at ten o'clock; her lunchtimes will be at GMT time in future!
Still, it was nice that her agenda meant that we could still meet, this morning, and we had a nice stroll around Castlefield Locks. (Obligatory canal photo is in my Extras.)
My main photo is taken from the bridge crossing over the railway tracks on Oldfield Road. I remember it was just after leaving university that someone explained how railway lines form 'wildlife corridors' in and out of cities. I'm not sure why I find the concept quite so pleasing!
