Sailing Away

A sunny Easter Sunday and the perfect day for an extended dog walk along the River Ems to the sea. We finished at Emsworth Yacht Basin where many of the boats were still out of the water having their hulls scraped and repainted. We wandered and looked at the different boats. This one particularly took my fancy. Merlin enjoyed himself meeting new people and dogs, and having some plunges into the deep cold water of the stream. We returned home and lunched in the garden - in the sunshine the thermometer read 20 degrees, although in the shade it was about 11 degrees.

Later we finished constructing the fencing for the climbing fruit at the allotment and walked Merlin again. Then it was time to relax and watch a film - The Dig about the discovery in Suffolk of the Anglo Saxon burial ship, Sutton Hoo.

Hoping your day was a good one. Best wishes.

Ps Despite being taken on Easter Sunday this image has appeared on the date of Easter Monday. I’ll post today’s photo on yesterday’s date.
