Unexpected Visitor

Making the tea this morning I was distracted by the mole-hill that had appeared in the garden. As I was mulling the next mole-hunt, this little chap appeared. It is a Ring Ouzel (male). I ran, got my camera, put on the long lens, then snapped as fast as I could. It didn’t hang around. The pics are not great; this is the best I could get in the time available. However, it is extremely rare here. They migrate North at around this time but a quick internet check suggests they are off their normal route, maybe the chilly North winds have confused them. Certainly not a resident, so thank-you Mr Mole for making me look out of the kitchen window. 

Now, where are those mole traps..............
