Swan Wings

Today's the day ........................ for tulips

Very pleased with my new planter that is now full of flowering tulip bulbs.

They're a variety called 'Swan Wings' - which is very appropriate because that's exactly what they look like with their pure white flowers delicately fringed at the end like the immaculate feathers of a swan.  There's an added bonus too because they are very fragrant.

What's even better is that, pretty soon, they will be joined by another variety of tulip called 'Flaming Baltic'.  These are glistening white also but they have prominent maroon-purple flames on their moderately fringed, crystalline petal edges.  It's going to look a treat.

I may have to blip it all again when it gets to that stage ..................!
