Swaledale Lamb
We decided on an early walk to beat the crowds. We parked at the Hole of Horcum and completed a delightful circular walk to Malo Cross and back.
The moorland sheep are later to lamb than their lowland counterparts. The farmer had also put out some temporary shelters for the newborns. This lamb caught my eye. I particularly liked its grey eyebrows and inverted white Y on its nose plus black knees.
In the extras is a lizard spotted at Malo Cross. As we returned to the car we could hear the cars heading towards Whitby. On the short drive home I counted 160 cars on their way to the coast. A quiet afternoon in order away from the crowds.
