These two bridges were victims of the cuts in rail services in the mid 60's. The iron bridge is mostly intact but the brick one has had the span over the river removed (see Extra). On warm days this spot is very popular with families paddling in the river.
I hope the weather was as good for all blippers as there were some great opportunities.
