Steel

I got a phone call from our builder. He heard from the structural engineer who has come up with a steel construction to allow part of the big wooden beam to be removed. This drawing looks impressive, but does not allow for the extra room we had in mind. Martine and I talked it over and decided to alter our plans such that no structural changes to the house are needed.
