Simnel

The traditional cake, I think this is the fourth year in a row I’ve made one for himself, who doesn’t like chocolate!!!??
Each year I try a different recipe ( this is Mary Berry’s) and although my grilling might be a little heavy handed , it was pronounced a light and moist cake.
In return I get an egg. He was sheepish about todays offering having bought it a while back when the Easter eggs were first in store. But having gone GF since then he realised I couldn’t eat part of it. I’ll manage I’ told him!
