Back to work!

My first work party for what seems a very long time.  This is the South Lakeland Orchard Group (SLOG) allotment in Kendal, planted and maintained by the group with 170 different traditional heritage varieties of apples. The task today was to spread some compost, add a little fertiliser, spring prune, and relax and chat in the sunshine.  An amazing little place, it's the National Plant Collection of NW English Apple Varieties.
