Another collage.
Another collage of this most unusual Easter. This time a meet up with daughter No2.
Hayley and family travelled down from Manchester to meet up with her sister and family at an outdoor children's adventure park - Basically a field with lots of child friendly climbing frames and the like. We'd arranged to meet them at the end of the day before they headed back up north, keeping to the 'two family' meet-up rule.
We were sat in McDonalds car park, I realised I'd not thought of a blip and decided to blip where we were sat, ironically, just as I snapped their car came into the shot! Bottom left in the collage.
When Emmeline got out of the car she ran straight over and threw her arms round me. Ops. But what can you do? Heartwarming that she hadn't forgotten us.
Hayley had to take a shot of us with McDonalds in the background. We then went for a walk on some scrubland, we laughed at how we were so excited to find this piece of land to wander on. It was like a bonus.
Then the children enjoyed their Mc Donald's happy meals sat in the boot of our car.Top right An Easter like no other, and lots of hand sanitiser used in that short time. We haven't seen them for 7 months. Pyjamas on they headed back up north, two very tired children.
An added story - We moved to the Tesco car park as our 90 minute free park time was up (Didn't want a £100 fine). As we drew up a car next to us was surrounded by McDonald's discarded bags, containers and cups. The car had 4 young girls in it. As they drove off Hayley flagged them down and politely asked if the rubbish was theirs. At that moment someone from across the car park yelled "Take your B----y rubbish home". Anyway, they got out and picked up the rubbish, Hayley, bless her, the born diplomat thanked them. Jeff got his phone out and looked to be photographing them. One of the girls got out of the car - She was in her pyjamas and dressing gown, and she challenged him, saying she was a minor and hadn't given him permission to photograph her. Hayley said jovially, "He wouldn't have photographed you because he wouldn't know how to". Which was basically half true! Anyway, she actually apologised and they drove off with their rubbish! Maybe they will think twice about dumping rubbish in future - One can hope! We laughed as they didn't know how to clear up after themselves, yet knew their rights! We wondered if we'd better hotfoot it out of there incase they brought their menfolk back to sort us out! Proud of Hayley though.
