Fungus

Today I am blipping this fungus which is growing on some Hawthorn tree trunks just beyond our boundary. I saw them on Sunday when holding the ladder for Mr A, but every day since then I have had something else to blip.

I think they are some kind of Phellinus, but what kind I am not sure about. There are a variety of shapes and sizes, some look like shelf fungi, others are just little blobs; there are more on my Flickr page.
