Magnolias

A dull and cloudy start to the day, but about lunch time there was a substantial improvement, turning into an afternoon of blue sky and sunshine, though quite cold. The magnolias are now looking superb, not quite at their peak, and of course the flowers do not last for long.

The camellia is rather hidden between the two large magnolias, and anyway there aren't many flowers left on it. I have included a photo of one of the camellia flowers as an extra, and the very good light meant I took a photo of the yellow flower I shot a couple of days ago, and as an insect came and landed on it while I was taking the photograph, I've included that as a second extra.
