Tiny

Almost the smallest flowered narcissus that I grow, Narcissus rupicola.   The flower well under an inch across, the foliage almost grass-like.

A busy and fun day.   The pattern of work in the morning continues, getting it out of the way early!    Cool at first, the day warmed as it went on and we had wall to wall blue skies all day, a lovely contrast to yesterday :-)    I potted up a few things that needed attention including a pot of little Daphne mezereum seedlings.   The seed was collected in the old garden, in 2019, the last year that I lived there, from the plant I pictured on my final visit just over a month ago.    They don't look much at the moment but the big mature plant I left behind started off like this - extra pic.

Jamie has been baking almost all day.   It being my Mum's birthday tomorrow, it seemed like a good idea ;-)    Ruth's been creatively busy too and their efforts might just feature here tomorrow.    It was still just warm enough for us to eat outside this evening, sitting on the decking that Jamie and Tim put together this week.    Then Jamie set off into the sunset to meet Katie while Ruth and I walked Meg round the lanes in the gloaming.   Two more days of decent weather promised before the arctic air blows in.
