They Say People Look Like Their Dogs

We had a big outing today, a day trip to the city, the furthest we’ve been from home in well over a year. It seemed like a good idea, things are opening up again, we've had our shots. Lunch and a museum, a version of something we’ve enjoyed countless times in the past, but this time I think it was too ambitious. I found that even being in the car for close to two hours was asking a lot. Zoom zoom, not the sedentary kind that we’ve embraced recently, but so many cars, and trucks and more trucks, all so intense and Going Somewhere. I don’t think I was ready.
