Wasn't aware they hibernated?
Courtesy of COVID I've been forced to buy a LOT online which I'd normally not; preferring to see what I'm about to buy.
At some unspecified point ref Alice's unscheduled departure : ¬ (
our/my strawberries "went down". I bought some online, sort of expecting small, potted plants, or at least plugs; as many previous have been.
NAY! - what I have just discovered are "Dormant Crowns" ,
Would you believe you're gazing at SIX Strawberry plants?
I didn't "waste" a Blip on the "biodegradable" Coffee cup 1/2s in situ, but they are now there; one with the "Wurrums" and one in the "Earthmaker©"

Having re-found the bag they came in, in the depths of my pocket, I'd better log them, as I can practically guarantee forgetting their name.
A wee bit misleadingly labelled, for the iggorant:-
"Strawberry (Fragaria)
Vibrant A X 6" Another search convinced me that Fragaria is "Gardeners' Latin/Greek for Strawberry and the variety is actually "Vibrant" promising me that I'll be able to:-
"Enjoy the first fruits in as little as 60 days from planting"
All together now - Once more, with feeling:-
We shall SEE!

On 2nd thoughts, maybe it WAS an April Fool letting me out on 1st April. Alice and I never shopped on a Sunday OR Bank holiday and rarely went anywhere, on the grounds that everybody else was, and parking was difficult. I once took 40 minutes to get from where I was parked to the exit of Morrisons car park on the one pre-bank holiday Friday we forgot about one year.
One month on.
