Donned the winter gardening trousers and a woolly hat and took myself to the allotment this morning, where I discovered that unfortunately the plum trees have come into flower. I say unfortunately, because with below-zero overnight temperatures expected early next week I suspect a lot of the blossom could be destroyed by frost before it gets a chance to be pollinated. It's just how it goes with plums, some years. 

Looking pretty today though, and the sun even put in an appearance.
