Snags

‘How many snags can you handle?’, asked Alison (who has been my bubble). BBQ season is officially open and there’s no holding an Aussie back from the first chance to fire up the grill. She likes cooking for others so I was very happy to be present for fish, sausages (‘snags’ apparently down under) and veggies.

I am sleeping better at Leigh’s place but still with vivid dreams most nights. Last night’s involved arguing with a colleague who I get on well with. In the dream, as we argued my heart was thumping in my chest like in a cartoon, and I woke up heaving and gasping. Which was new.

Another notable event was seeing Elizabeth for our customary Tuesday afternoon walk, and it being warm enough for t-shirts and sitting on a bench. The only downside was being crapped on by a bird. I’ll always take a bit of wildlife defecation for weather like today. And true to splendid form, Elizabeth was on hand with a tissue to spare my embarrassment.
