Traffic Chaos

I was hoping to blip the twins tonight but they haven’t arrived yet. Helen left Sydney with them at 11am and expected to be here by 1pm. Omar is working this weekend so it’s her first solo trip with the babies.
However the traffic is the worst it’s ever been. It’s usually busy at Easter but this year it’s the perfect storm. There’s the Covid factor with everyone wanting to get away to the regions coupled with perfect weather. But the final straw is that the only other road across the Blue Mountains is closed following landslides in the recent rain.
By 3:30pm she had reached Leura so she stopped at Graham’s. Mr isbi had to drop something off there so he has left his vehicle and is coming back with her now. The traffic seems to have finally eased a bit (it’s 8:30pm) so hopefully it won’t take too long to travel the final what should be 20 minutes.
