The perfect storm for a mediocre blip.
Today was spent helping students in my lab, lecturing to students about hallucinogenic mushrooms and alcohol production from plant sources, and reading a student's thesis that needs to be defended in a few days. Get the idea????
The few moments I had to myself were spent wondering why it was still snowing, and not clearing up like the weather gurus (from two separate news stations nonetheless) had promised. I was also wondering how to best represent missymoo's March 5th challenge - "under."
So as time ticked by tonight, and I grew more weary and less enthusiastic about finding the perfect blip, I realized the lamp above my head was pretty, pretty cool, and, might be sort of interesting. I tried several angles, but this one was most pleasing as it included some of the details of the "neck" under the shade. I was also drawn to the beads under the shade.
It's fairly lame, but I didn't miss a blip, didn't have to take an artistic picture of the rubbish in the can, and I sort of fulfilled the challenge.
Time for bed...
