fresh growth

Last year I bought a new acer, this year it is just coing into leaf and looking gorgeous with the afternoon sun on it.
I spent the morning pottering in house and garden, achieving quite a bit, and this afternoon I sewed and got my bike out for the first time this year. I only went jut under 6 miles but didn't want to overdo it and set off various aches and pains!
Almost cloudless skies - but I wasn't fooled, the wind was cold and plenty of clothes were needed.
