Once upon a time

I went to Itchen Valley Country Park today with my daughter Amy and littlest granddaughter. She (my granddaughter that is) again looked at me in that puzzled way as if to say ‘who are you again?’. She needs to get used to me as I’ll be doing some childcare once a week when Amy goes back to work in a couple of months.
The once upon a time chair is in amongst the trees in the country park, I really like it. No stories today though, no takers.

I’ve just finished reading Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart. It was the 2020 Booker prize. It’s such a sad book but well worth reading.
