Attitude

Went for a drive over to Bo'ness this afternoon and had a wander around the Kinneil Estate. It was quite grey overhead, cold and windy, and not great for taking photographs. Until, that is, I reached the larger of the two ponds and saw a swan with attitude. There was a pen sitting on a nest nearby, but this cob (I'm guessing) was some distance away and wanted to chase every mallard or coot that came within about ten feet of him.

Actually, he was swimming around the pond looking for ducks to chase. When he got close to them, off he went, wings flapping until the ducks did likewise. A few moments later he was at it again. Good entertainment and it also made for some good photos.
