Primroses

I found some primrose stems had been snapped off and left in the ground yesterday, so I rescued them and popped them in some water. How did that happen, I wondered.

Today we found out. It’s the blackbirds looking for nesting material ! What a nuisance - those were from my favourite primroses that is bought last year. There’s a few stems left on one of the clumps but that’s all.

Last day of work today with 6 days off now. It’s been hard to keep focused this week so I’m glad I can rest for a while now. Shame the weather isn’t staying nice and warm though.
