Another chance to escape the house this morning with some nice weather, so we headed to a different nature reserve on Canvey which was nice and empty! And I managed to finally get my first butterfly snap of the year, although this chap did lead me a merry dance for a while!  

Also spotted some reed bunting, goldfinches and wrens but couldn't get good shots! Why is it that your camera decides to play silly beggars at the wrong time!

 a cloudy but mild afternoon, so I braved some jobs in the garden again and ended up wrestling with a phormium that needed taming! I think he won the battle!
