Band of the Royal Marines

A day out (and a long drive) to Inveraray for the annual Highland Gathering (or Games) held in the grounds of Inveraray Castle. Unlike most of the Highland Games held thoughout Scotland the Inverary event takes place on a Tuesday rather than the weekend  - that does not deplete the crowd however.  Its a great setting - a well run games and a fabulous day out.

The main photo features the Band of the Royal Marines who played a couple of sets as crowdpleasers. The Extra Photos feature other events - backhold wrestling, the high jump, long jump and a couple of heavies thrown in for good measure one proclaiming he is  "Strong but Pretty"
