Between fen and mountains

Walking out of the clouds

The weather was set fair but it took two hours to walk out of the clouds. The entrées maritimes, a sort of sea fret, had come up the valley from the coast and took till almost lunchtime to burn off. Otherwise, it was a lovely five hour walk, about 12 kilometres and 520 metres of ascent. Our efforts were rewarded on the way back as J. and J. invited us back for tea and lemon drizzle cake.
