Spring woods

Such a lovely day - milky sunshine, so a dash to the woods was inorder. It always surprises and pleases me at how few other people there are around. So I sat and ate my lunch in the company of the trilling birds.
As is so often the case, I got stopped in my tracks at the end of my alloted time, so frustrating having to return to work! Today it was a carpet of snowdrops, simply spectacular and strangely difficult to capture the scale! (Particularly as it is behind a wall and locked gates)

Just started a book called Wanderlust - a history of walking which is giving me itchy feet...
