Daisy wheel
To the King's Theatre, Edinburgh, for Driving Miss Daisy, starring Gwen Taylor, Don Warrington and Ian Porter. I've never seen the movie, but the Pulitzer Prize-winning play was around before the lauded performances of Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman, and it's all about the script. And the company gave us a wonderful evening, bringing out the humour and sadness of Alfred Uhry's play.
And if you wish to know more, my review is at Thom Dibdin's fine Annals of Edinburgh Stage website.
And an extra treat came afterwards, as the cast came back on stage for an audience Q&A. It was most enlightening to hear the charming cast talk about how they approached the play.
