A New Photo of an Old Photo of Easter
Continuing with yesterday's theme "The Secret of Life is Enjoying the Passage of Time," I thought before putting away the old photo album this afternoon I would click another photo of a snapshot from long ago -- Easter 1991 -- with granddaughter Ashly and her little brother Emerson and yes, me.
Not perfect photography, but the remembrance of a lovely time when we were sitting on the edge of the fish pond in my in-law's backyard enjoying a Southern California springtime.
Today our little church was full. Many people brought friends and relatives with them for the resurrection celebration. With a piano, organ, drums, 3 guitars, and 5 singers, the music rocked--I loved it (even though I am sure the elderly folks prefer a more conservative blend). Today I was reminded that even if we don't believe in Jesus, He believes in us.
When the celebration concluded Mr. Fun & I came home to a quiet relaxing afternoon preparing to leave for a few days away during my spring break.
Without Easter baskets, colored eggs, or jelly beans to blip, I was a little stumped. I thought about taking a drive through the rural community of Norco to find a lamb to blip, but that felt a little counterfeit. So I took photos all throughout this house, inside and out. Finally this is the one that Mr. Fun chose.
All throughout the afternoon I peeked at Blipfoto where I found lovely displays of Easter blips -- lots of you having fun, beautiful flowers, and spectacular scenes. Thanks everyone.
At about 9:45 on this Sunday evening, I'm signing off while wishing everyone a meaningful week.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
