Standing Guard

A warm sunny day, perfect for a leisurely ramble around Sholom Park.

I met and chatted with some very nice folks, Tom and Bridgett from Galway, and came away with a surplus of blip riches, including this pic of a Blue Heron guarding their nest. I had to head back to the car to get my longer lens so I didn't catch Mamma sitting on the nest or the fluffy little head peeking out over the top, but all things considered I'm a happy guy.
