Cooling down

Out for walk with Hetty a bit earlier than usual and then went to meet a couple of friends.
Weather was wonderful, really warm. We had a walk round the lake and was surprised to see this small band a deer coming up from the lake and walking through people on the path.
We sat in the garden and chatted for a couple of hours, it was so good to catch up.
Was planning to make a simnel cake this afternoon but got back later than expected so it’s in the oven now and hopefully will be ready before bedtime.
